West Ham agree £15million fee to sign Andy Carroll

West Ham United have agreed a fee of around £15 million to sign striker Andy Carroll from Liverpool.

The England striker had been on loan at West Ham from Liverpool during the 2012-13 season. And despite his injury-prone season, the footballer still managed to score 7 goals in 22 league appearances for the Hammers.

While the clubs have agreed a fee, Carroll still has to agree personal terms.

Carroll originally signed for Liverpool in a £35 million transfer, which arguably was one of the major criticisms of Kenny Dalglish’s run as Liverpool manager where he and the owners overspent on players.

Meanwhile, Carlton Cole announced on Twitter that he’s leaving West Ham United. Also today the Hammers have confirmed the signing of Romania captain Razvan Rat on a free transfer.
