Mexico's 1-0 Victory Against Cameroon Viewed By 5 Million On Univision

Univision’s broadcast of Mexico against Cameroon on Friday was viewed by 5 million people in the United States. The game was aired on the Univision Network, and was simulcast on Univision Deportes Network (UDN), from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on June 13, 2014.

In the TV ratings battle between Univision and ESPN, Univision Deportes has outdelivered ESPN’s coverage by 34% among total viewers for the first four games of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Compared to its own ratings four years ago, the first four World Cup 2014 matches on Univision saw an increase of 25% compared to the same number of matches in World Cup 2010.

Meanwhile in the TV ratings for Netherlands against Spain and Chile versus Australia, Univision beat ESPN’s coverage by 6% and 14% respectively.

Univision will be hoping for similar impressive numbers for its coverage of the four World Cup matches played on Saturday, June 14 — featuring Colombia against Greece, Uruguay versus Costa Rica, Italy vs England and Ivory Coast-Japan.
