FOX Sports interrupts soccer game to show 15 minutes of FOX News election coverage

Soccer fans who tuned in to watch the Champions League game between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City on FOX Sports GO got a surprise Wednesday when the broadcast of the match suddenly switched to live coverage of FOX News.

The mistake happened in approximately the 9th minute of the game. One second, viewers were watching a thrilling soccer game between PSG and Man City. The next second, the coverage automatically switched to FOX News, which mostly focused on the election race between Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich. I realize that FOX News needs help with TV ratings, but this is taking it too far.

Thankfully, the TV coverage of the game was not interrupted by FOX News.

For the viewers who missed the 15 minutes of soccer action on FOX Sports GO, they didn’t see the penalty that was awarded to PSG as well as the incredible save by Joe Hart after Zlatan Ibrahimovic failed to score from the penalty spot.
