Barcelona’s Leo Messi will be out of action for two to three weeks after injuring his hamstring yesterday against Almeria.
The hamstring injury will force Messi to miss Barcelona’s next two games — against Celtic in the UEFA Champions League, and in La Liga next weekend against Valladolid. He’ll also be a doubt for Argentina’s game against Peru on October 11.
Messi suffered the hamstring injury after scoring his goal against Almeria in the 2-0 win for Barcelona. He was substituted by Xavi.
Barcelona still remain in first place in La Liga.
