Arsenal Achieve Distinction Of Being the Best Premier League Team Of 2013; Find Out Who Finished 2nd-8th

Arsenal have achieved the distinction of being the best Premier League side of 2013, amassing 79 points over the course of the 2013 calendar year.

The Gunners finished 2013 with a +35 goal difference and are two points better than the second best Premier League team of 2013, which is Manchester City. Manuel Pellegrini’s cross-town rivals Manchester United finished 2013 in third place despite winning the 2012/13 Premier League title.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle United close out fourth through eighth places respectively. Note that the above table is accurate before the final results were in for the Chelsea-Liverpool and Tottenham-Stoke City matches.

If only there was a trophy awarded for that honor. Still, Arsenal are on top of the Premier League table for the 2013/14 season thus far, too, so the Gunners could pick up silverware at the end of this season.
