I remember watching the Bundesliga on GOLTV then on ESPN3 when some games were sublicensed and now on Fox Sports. I always enjoy listening to his commentary but there was never a picture of him on the internet anywhere. I believe the first time I saw a video of him was 4 years ago during the opening ceremony in Munich for the 53rd Bundesliga season. I was surprised. Phil Bonney was alongside Christian Ziege at the Allianz Arena. Nowadays you can find video & pictures of all the Bundesliga commentators.
Just had a chance to listen and thoroughly enjoyed this interview. As a new football fan (3.5 years) and still learning every day, I’ve watched a lot of Bundesliga and have enjoyed learning, listening and watching the games with Phil Bonney and his commentary. This was a treat and I felt like I got to got to know Phil a little better.
