Landon Donovan to return to FOX Sports booth for USA vs. Jamaica friendly

Landon Donovan, who was a critically-acclaimed hit for his co-commentary during the 2016 Copa America Centenario on FOX Sports, will return to the network this Friday when he steps into the booth to provide co-commentary alongside Stu Holden and lead announcer John Strong. Donovan in talks for MLS return at Real Salt Lake: reports

Los Angeles (AFP) – Landon Donovan, the all-time US national team scoring leader, has been offered a two-year deal to return to Major League Soccer with Real Salt Lake, according to multiple reports Thursday. Donovan, who has 57 goals in 157 matches with the US side, spent four seasons with the San Jose Earthquakes from 2001-2004 then played for the Los Angeles Galaxy from 2005-2014, coming out of retirement for six regular-season matches and three playoff contests earlier this year. Los Angeles (AFP) – Giovani dos Santos scored twice as the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Orlando City 4-2 in a match that marked the return to the MLS of Landon Donovan. Donovan, the league’s all-time leading scorer, didn’t enter the contest at Los Angeles’ StubHub Center stadium until the 83rd minute and he did not attempt a shot on goal.
