As ESPN continues to acquire more soccer rights in the United States, the self-proclaimed Worldwide Leader In Sports is beginning to augment the rights it already has by offering the option of Spanish-league commentary to competitions such as Serie A, FA Cup and others. ESPN+ acquires US rights to Copa del Rey

ESPN+ has acquired the US rights to the Copa del Rey tournament, the annual knockout competition run by the Spanish football federation. With plans to stream up to 65 games a year including the final, the multi-year agreement will kick off this Saturday with ESPN+ streaming the Second Round of the prestigious tournament. Disney+ bundle offers soccer fans plenty of choices

Last month, Disney+ joined the streaming wars and immediately made a major impact due to their iconic collection of movies, shows and original programming that includes Star Wars: The Mandalorian. Another feature that separates themselves from the competition is the ability to bundle the new service with ESPN+ and Hulu, which is good news for soccer fans. ESPN has acquired the US media rights to the FA Cup for the 2018/19 to 2020/21 seasons, a source confirmed to World Soccer Talk today.
