Premier League soccer club Swansea City have announced a preseason tour to the United States that will feature friendly games against Richmond Kickers and Charlotte Independence in July, 2016.

The Welsh club, who finished 12th in the 2015/16 Premier League, will be in the United States for 11 days this summer. The Swans, led by manager Francesco Guidolin, will arrive in Washington DC on July 7 where they’ll be based for their training camp.

Swansea will then play two friendlies against the following US club teams:

July 13: Charlotte Independence vs. Swansea City, 7:30pm ET, Ramblewood Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina (tickets now on sale; promo code: SWANSEA)

July 16: Richmond Kickers vs. Swansea City, 7pm ET, City Stadium, Richmond, Virginia (tickets now on sale)

The Swans then head back to Wales on July 17.

This will be the third time the club have headed to America for a pre-season tour, having visited Colorado and California in 2012 before returning to Chicago, Milwaukee and Minnesota two years later.

Both tours helped prepare the Swans for hugely successful seasons, with the club lifting the Capital One Cup in 2013 while a record-breaking campaign was sealed in 2015.

With this being the first time ever that Swansea City have visited the east coast of the United States, it’s an ideal opportunity to watch the Swans in person in an intimate environment, and to cheer on the Jacks.

Both Richmond and Charlotte play in the United Soccer League (USL).
