Interview with David Hall, Author of "Manchester's Finest"

manchesters finest david hall Interview with David Hall, Author of "Manchester's Finest"The latest episode of the EPL Talk Podcast has been published featuring an interview with David Hall, author of a new book entitled “Manchester’s Finest: How the Munich Air Disaster Broke the Heart of a Great City.”

Hall describes how much of an impact the tragic disaster had on Manchester. Plus the author discusses some of the great footballers who perished in the crash. The episode is hosted by Chris Oakley from the excellent Some People Are On The Pitch blog.

The book describes in great detail how Hall heard the news about the crash and how painfully slow the news trickled in from Germany. In the age of the Internet, it’s so easy for us to take news for granted. Reading the book and listening to the interview, you really get a sense of how different life was back then and how agonizing it must have been for Manchester United supporters and football fans to learn how many of the Red Devil players perished that cold night in Munich.
