Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are featured as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader from Star Wars on the cover of a Portuguese newspaper today in the lead-up to the battle between Portugal and Sweden in the first leg of the World Cup playoff.

For viewers in the United States, the game will be shown live at 2:45pm ET today on ESPN Deportes and WatchESPN.com.

The Portuguese newspaper headline is “Guerra das Estrellas,” which translates to “Star Wars.” Not surprisingly, being Portuguese owned, the newspaper makes fun of Ibrahimovic by having him be Darth Vader (the dark force) and exaggerating the size of his nose.

    Hello,

I’m the one who made the cover with the caricatures of Cristiano and Ibrahimovic.
Loved your comment on this. About Ibra’s nose, of course it was exaggerated: he really has a big one!
