Newcastle United have officially unveiled their new away shirt for the 2012-13 season, and the Toon have gone blue.

The Newcastle away shirt for next season, as we leaked in April, is navy blue with a light blue trim.

The design of the shirt looks quite futuristic. According to the club website, the shirt “provides a comfortable fit thanks to a lightweight breathable polyester construction with DryCell moisture wicking technology and perforated side panels to the body for ventilation.”

Overall, it’s quite smart looking shirt with a comfortable looking material. It’s a thumbs up from me.

Here’s a video of Steven Taylor and Rob Elliott modeling the away shirt and goalkeeper shirt.
