Season's have their turning points, and I have a feeling that today was a crucial one. We saw Inter Milan rise back to form with a 3-0 win over TP Mazembe in the FIFA World Club Cup final, and we saw AC Milan fall to Roma at the San Siro, 1-0 for the giallorossi thanks […]

Milan Top Of Table After Derby Win

The Serie A had some fantastic matches played this weekend, and probably the one that most people watched was the Milan derby. The match finished with AC Milan winning thanks to a lone goal by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, scored from the penalty spot. The match was interesting, and while it might not have had too much […]

Catania Draw With Milan And Fiorentina Fall To Lazio

AC Milan seemed to have found the right combination in the Champions League against Auxerre. A simple 2-0 win with Ibrahimovic scoring both goals supposedly solved all the problems around the rossoneri. But after the match, Ibrahimovic decided to insult Milan legend Arrigo Sacchi, and show everyone what a difficult character he is to deal […]

Leaving Barcelona: A (Schizophrenic) Love Story

Reporting from Camp Nou (although belatedly) As Ronaldinho took to the field, the last player to do so for either team, 96,315 people cheered and applauded. A chant of 'Ronny, Ronny, Ronny' started around the stadium. People smiled as he lined up with the Barcelona team for the photo just before the Joan Gamper trophy […]

Ibrahimovic to AC Milan and Adriano to Roma?

While the transfer market hasn't been too busy with big signings, it's slowly been spreading that two big strikers will be moving to the Serie A for next season. Barcelona, We Meet Again

Since I'm new at EPL Talk, I'd like to talk a little bit more (before I discuss Wednesday's match) about my history as an Arsenal fan. Slowly becoming a soccer fan in college, a 2006 trip to Europe with my girlfriend really cemented my love of the Gunners. Arriving in Paris just days before the Champions League Final, little did I know what would await me. The year before, I had been in Israel during the Liverpool-Milan game. Taking a cursory interest, I sat down with several Israelis who were screaming about how dominant Milan were. As everyone knows, it didn't end up that way. But it was enough to turn me into a soccer fan for life.

The Blaugrana continued their steady march towards retaining la Liga title after defeating Getafe 2-1 at the Camp Nou. The Catalans had two players sent-off as Gerard Pique received his marching orders after 26 minutes with the score 1-0 in Barca's favour. The star for the Barca side was the magical Lionel Messi who scored […]

Did Barca or Inter Milan Get The Better Player?

The summer's Blockbuster trade involved Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samuel. Eto'o swapping clubs and Inter also received a boat load of cash. The first Champions League clash between the two clubs failed to give a decisive edge as to which team gained the most from this transaction. While Inter made a handsome profit, Barca was able to offload an unhappy […]

Ibrahimovic and Maxwell to Barcelona

After a season bordering on perfection, a refreshing thirst for change is in the air around the Camp Nou. It is good to see that Txiki Begiristain and the clubs board have learned from the mistakes made in the latter parts of the Rijkaard era. Instead of holding on to some of the more fragile […]
