Gerard Pique believes Barcelona’s attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez have a special relationship, one that the veteran player has never seen during his eleven-year club and international career.

Barcelona have won 30 of their last 34 games in all competitions, but saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end this weekend following a 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Saturday.

Messi and Neymar struck to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead, only to see the home side battle back to level the match in the dying minutes of the contest.

While his strike partners have had the benefit of playing together since last season, Suarez has only recently began the process of integrating himself with his teammates at the Catalan club.

Despite making his Barcelona debut in October – after serving his four-month FIFA-imposed ban for biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup – Suarez has notched 10 goals and nine assists in 21 league matches.

Neymar has added 18 goals and five assists of his own, while Messi has tallied 34 goals and 15 assists in what many are considering his best season for La Blaugrana.

Prior to his side’s Champions League quarter-final encounter with Paris Saint-Germain, Pique sat down for an interview with UEFA.com where he marveled at the bond between Barcelona’s attacking trio.

“I’ve never before seen a relationship like the one between Luis [Suarez], Ney [Neymar] and Leo [Messi],” Pique told UEFA.com. “We’re talking about three of the best players in the world.

“Being a footballer always goes hand in hand with a certain amount of egotism, but those three really do have a special relationship. They get on superbly. There’s no hint of jealousy and that shows on the pitch.”
