Long-time readers of World Soccer Talk may remember the video series we posted each week from London entitled Friday Football Special (which was later renamed The Football Special, but unfortunately bit the dust). The show included a mix of computer animation, jokes and parody songs. The person responsible for many of those parody songs is now out on his own and has produced a very catchy (and cheeky) video about Steven Gerrard.

That man’s name is Jim Daly, and his latest opus is entitled, simply, “America.”

There’s plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor in Jim Daly’s song. Some overly sensitive fans may get upset, but it’s all in good taste as Daly pokes fun at Steven Gerrard, the LA Galaxy, Robbie Keane and MLS.

And if you enjoy Jim Daly’s song, subscribe to his YouTube channel where he has other songs such as “Shut Up Gary Neville,” “I’m Still Standing By Alan Pardew,” and “How Do You Solve A Problem Like Mario.”
