ESPN+ has renewed its media rights deal to continue bringing live coverage of the Dutch Eredivisie to soccer fans throughout the United States, multiple sources confirmed to World Soccer Talk.

In its previous deal, ESPN+ acquired the rights to the Dutch Eredivisie in 2018 in a three year deal from the 2018/19 through 2020/21 seasons. That deal ended earlier this summer, and it was understood that there was interest among a few broadcasters regarding the rights.

Thankfully, ESPN+ was able to renew its right deal to ensure uninterrupted coverage.

Prior to ESPN+ covering the league, the Eredivisie has been shown across Fox Soccer Channel, ESPN2, GolTV, ESPN3, NGSN, OZ.com and Univision Deportes in addition to not being available anywhere for a season or two.

ESPN+’s coverage of the 2021/22 season begins this weekend.

As of press time, ESPN+ has the rights to LaLiga, Bundesliga, UEFA Nations League, Championship, League One, League Two, FA Cup, League Cup, MLS, Leagues Cup, US Open Cup, USL, International Champions Cup, Eredivisie, Danish Superliga, Chinese Super League, Indian Super League, Australian A-League, Sweden’s Allsvenskan, FA Community Shield.

ESPN+ is $6.99 per month with no contract required. It’s available on your computer, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android phone, Android tablet, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire tablet, Roku, Chromecast, PlayStation 4, Oculus Go, Samsung Smart TV and XBOX One.
