UEFA Champions League Draw for the Round of 16 Revealed

The draw for the Round of 16 in the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League tournament has been made, and there are some several mouthwatering matchups.

The Round of 16 matches will feature:

Manchester City vs Barcelona

Olympiacos vs Manchester United

AC Milan vs Atletico Madrid

Bayer Leverkusen vs Paris Saint-Germain

Galatasaray vs Chelsea

Schalke vs Real Madrid

Zenit St Petersburg vs Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Manchester City paid the price for Manuel Pellegrini’s mistake in their match against Bayern Munich by being drawn against Barcelona in the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s wish has come true for his side to face Galatasaray and a match against former Chelsea great Didier Drogba.

Arsenal will face a familiar opponent in Bayern Munich, while Manchester United got one of the more fortunate draws by facing Olympiacos of Greece in the Round of 16.

The first leg ties between the teams will be played the week of February 18-19 and February 25-26.

  1. beryan munichen fc will league tittle 2014 just like what happened 2013 UEFA champions league…we are Germany shepherds

  2. Chelsea and United get easy clubs while Arsenal and City have the toughest ones.

Chelsea and United should get through easily while City and Arsenal will probably get knocked out especially since the all-important second leg is away for City and Arsenal. Of course it will all depend on what additions each club makes t their squad and what injuries they have by the time the ties are played.

  3. sorry!f you are either arsenal or m.city, your tournament is probably is over.arsenal have to blame them selves for not getting point in naples that would ensure them as group winners if that would happened arsenal now would be facing zenit, for city the poor pellegrini has to blame him self not even realising what his team needs.now he has to face the hell. Iam so sorry that two of our english teams wouldn’t be playing the querterfinal its really shame!

  4. City have a good chance to advance. They have been unstoppable at home, at least in league play. 8 games, 8 wins. 35 goals, 5 conceded. They have been in very good form in the last few weeks and seem to be hitting their stride. Aguero will most likely be healthy by then. As long as the rest of the starters are healthy, I wouldn’t count them out so quickly.

  5. City’s stated goal this year was to progress from the group stage. So there shouldn’t be any added pressure for them to advance.

I’m envisioning a 13-11 aggregate score with Barca advancing. Should be a joy to watch.

  6. United ready to make a Chelsea run, finish 5th /8th in league so you win CL.i know it is crazy but no one was picking Chelsea to win the CL.
