
<p>Tom Brady is working to create morale at Birmingham City, and his club has started issuing fines to players that are not cordial. While the future Hall of Fame quarterback likely had minimal say in the procedure itself, Brady is bringing a new vibe to the club.</p>



<p>He admitted that he <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/news/tom-brady-becomes-minority-owner-of-birmingham-city-20230803-WST-447328.html">does not know much about soccer</a>. However, he has extensive knowledge of winning. Perhaps he is arguing that building a relationship with the workers around the club can make a difference on the field. </p>



<p>Birmingham City had its list of fines <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12410401/Tom-Bradys-Birmingham-City-dock-players-250-not-saying-hello-reception-staff-fines-list-leaked-online.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">leak out</a>, and there are some unusual mandates for the club’s players. For example, the first one on the list says that whenever players show up at the training facility, they must say good morning to the front desk workers. If they do not enter through reception and say hello, they face a $320 fine.</p>



<p>Furthermore, players are responsible for their belongings and cleaning up after themselves. Any cup, dish and piece of silverware left in the canteen yields a $25 fine. That $25 fine is for each item left at the table once a player leaves. While eating, players are not allowed to use their phones for the first 30 minutes. If they do, they face a fine of $125.</p>



<p>There are more commonplace fines, too. Players must be in the correct attire, be timely with testing and show up on time for meetings and games.</p>

<h2>Are the Birmingham City fines leading to results?</h2>



<p>While the season is still young, Birmingham City has started well in the <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/championship-tv-schedule/">Championship</a>. A draw at Swansea to open the season preceded a win at home over Leeds United. Moreover, Birmingham City advanced in the League Cup first round by beating Cheltenham. </p>



<p>Perhaps Tom Brady does know a little something about winning even if it is a new sport for him.</p>

<p>Birmingham City has announced a new investor in the club that most sports fans will be familiar with. National Football League legend Tom Brady has joined on as a minority owner of the Blues. Brady was a serial winner in the American football league, collecting seven Super Bowl rings. The now-retired quarterback announced the move on his 46th birthday.</p>



<p>“Birmingham City is an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honor for me,” <a href="https://www.bcfc.com/news/all/tom-brady-invests-in-birmingham-city-football-club" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">proclaimed</a> Brady. “BCFC is built on teamwork and determination and I’m excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our Second City club second to none. I’ve been part of some amazing teams in my day, and I’m looking forward to applying my perspective to create that same success here in Birmingham.”</p>

<h2>Tom Brady also joins the Birmingham City board</h2>



<p>Birmingham City chairman Tom Wagner, also an American businessman, has revealed that Brady will not just be an absent investor in the club. Along with becoming a co-owner, the former NFL superstar has a new job title with the team.</p>



<p>“Tom Brady joining the Birmingham City team is a statement of intent. We are setting the bar at world class. Tom is both investing and committing his time and extensive expertise,” <a href="https://www.bcfc.com/news/all/tom-brady-invests-in-birmingham-city-football-club" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">stated</a> Wagner.</p>



<p>“As Chair of the Advisory Board, Tom will have a direct impact on the club. The men’s, women’s, and academy teams are going to benefit from the knowledge. The goal that Tom has committed to own is to make Birmingham City a respected leader in nutrition, health, wellness, and recovery across the world of football.”</p>

<p>Birmingham City finished 17th out of 24 teams in the second-tiered <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/championship-tv-schedule/">Championship</a> last season. The Blues will begin their 2023/24 campaign on Saturday, August 5th as they travel to Wales to face Swansea City. </p>
