Arsenal Home Shirt for 2011-12 Season: Photo

There have been several versions of Arsenal’s home shirt for the 2011-2012 season floating around. And now a new one has emerged, which is an artist’s impression of what is supposedly the final version courtesy of

The shirt celebrates the 125th year anniversary of Arsenal Football Club (who were founded in 1886 as Dial Square), hence the crest below which has the dates 1886-2011 and the words “Forward” as a prominent feature.

Supposedly the artist impressions of the shirt are based on accurate sources. If this is in fact what the Arsenal shirt looks like for the 2011-12 season, what’s your opinion regarding it? Share your feedback in the comments section below.

Sum ppl dnt knw wot they’re talking about, the crest looks good and has deep meaning to it, it’s suppose to b simple, not like it will mke us play better or worse. Sum ppl need to do ur research on arsenal history. Remember we only started with red jersey wiv White sleeves….. Arsfan so wot if u could design sumthing that might look better bottom line is urs wouldn’t mean jack compared to this new 1 as I’m sure u no nothing about arsenal, guess for da rest if u complaining…. Love it. Also, it’s meant to be simple rather than extravagant, as it’s meant to commemorate the club’s 125th anniversary, muppets. Looks very classic and elegant, but of course most gloryhunters don’t know anything about that sort of stuff.

It’s a shame the current one will be gone after just one season as it was the best home shirt Nike has ever done for them.

It would have been nice if a variation of the old regal crest w/ the latin motto “Victoria Concordia Crescit” was used but in these days of consistent branding, I can see why the current one will be used. The white works though, Decent shirt.

Old mock up or training shirt. They will never ever put a single color crest on the main shirt. The crest will have a similar design, but will be full colour and the flourishes will be tapered in gold and be smaller. You’ll see…

This is good but I suggest that they reverse the colours for the away kit.
that is white chest/back and red sleeves.

Without white collar its cheap its gaudy its unglamouress Wish people would refuse to buy. Buy original glorious Red with white collar(proper collar that is not the utility one) and long white sleeves.. Can,t beat that!

It would be OK if they changed the badge – ideally back to the old version or the 1930s AFC crest. Just get rid of the Disney cannon…

change the badge(logo) doesn’t mean go to the old version.

Am not interested with the new logo, please make it simple, remove the side leafy area. (ugly)

I like the jersey, it will look mad long sleeve…i just hope the badge isn’t in white, much preferred coloured version with gold leaves
