In gameweek two of the 2022/23 Premier League season this weekend, Liverpool’s game against Crystal Palace is available on Sling Blue. Scheduled to kick off on Monday at 3PM ET here in the United States, the highly-anticipated match is on USA Network. Therefore, if you want an affordable way to watch Liverpool vs Crystal Palace on TV, Sling Blue is a great option to choose.

Liverpool struggled in its first game of the season at Craven Cottage. A draw against newly promoted Fulham is not the ideal start to Jurgen Klopp’s eighth season at Anfield. Yet, it was not as bad as Patrick Vieira’s start to the second season at Selhurst Park. In the Premier League’s opening game, Arsenal rolled Crystal Palace, 2-0. Throughout the game Crystal Palace had chances, but Arsenal emerged as the better side.

Now, both Liverpool and Crystal Palace seek improvement. Unfortunately for Palace, the chance to improve comes at the ground of a team that lost just once in 30 games in all competitions last season. In Premier League play, Liverpool had 15 wins and four draws at Anfield.

Crystal Palace has potential to pull off a result on the road. The Eagles won at the Etihad, drew at the Emirates and deserved a point at Old Trafford. Clearly, Patrick Vieira has the potential. Yet, could the lack of pure talent like Connor Gallagher a season ago prove pivotal? Crystal Palace seemed to lack that instinctive finish in the season opener against Arsenal.

USA Network is a fairly standard channel on most streaming or cable providers. However, those streaming and cable providers can be fairly expensive. Moreover, consider the number of streaming platforms specific to channels soccer fans have. Paramount+ covers the Champions League and Serie A. Then, ESPN+ is the home of the Bundesliga and LaLiga.

So, what makes Sling Blue stand out compared to other providers? Well, the price is one thing. At just $35 per month, it is half the price of something like fuboTV, YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV. Of course, you limit the quantity of channels you have access to. Still, this provides USA Network, home to four or five Premier League games each weekend on average.

Plus, Sling Blue carries NBC in most markets too. Each Saturday, the 12:30 p.m. ET kickoff in the Premier League typically airs on NBC, unless there is other major programming at that time.

Sling Blue + Peacock is the most affordable way to watch the EPL

Then, Premier League fans have to tack on Peacock, the paid-streaming service from NBC. Peacock is $4.99 per month, or there is an annual plan for $49.99. Peacock hosts the remainder of games unavailable on either USA Network or NBC.

Adding it up, Sling Blue and Peacock Premium cost a combined $40 per month. For the soccer fan who is only passionate about the Premier League, there is perhaps no better option when it comes to affordability.

So, if you are trying to figure out how to watch Liverpool host Crystal Palace, consider signing up for Sling Blue this weekend.
