The 2022 edition of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is going to feature a float from FOX Sports.

US Soccer float in Macy’s Parade

FOX’s float will promote the US Men’s National Team (USMNT) in the 2022 World Cup, which airs exclusively in English on the sports network. Roughly 20 million viewers watch the parade on television. Subsequently, FOX Sports are hoping that the float can help promote its coverage of the tournament. But also the World Cup game on Black Friday between the United States and England. Executives at FOX Sports are confident that the game may go down as one of the most-watched soccer games in US history.

Speaking to Sports Video Group, here’s what FOX Sports executive producer David Neal said:

“We’re pulling out all the stops.

“Our brilliant [FOX Sports] marketing team led by Robert Gottlieb actually got the money together and bought a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. So there will be a US Soccer float going by there.”

The timing of FOX’s float to promote Team USA may end up being ideal. Looking at the World Cup schedule, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade comes after the USA’s November 21st game against Wales and before the November 25th match versus England.
