ESPN’s Euro 2020 TV ratings up 33 percent compared to Euro 2016

Through Saturday, June 19, Euro 2020 on ESPN and ABC delivered an average audience of 965,000 viewers, a 33 percent increase compared to 723,000 viewers for the same number of matches of Euro 2016.

Highlights:

• Saturday’s Portugal-Germany on ESPN averaged 1.83 million viewers – the largest audience for a European Championship group stage match in 2016 and 2020; and ranks as the third most-viewed group stage match ever on ESPN networks and ABC

• Four Euro 2020 matches rank in the top ten most-viewed matches ever in the group stage on ESPN networks and ABC (since 2008)

    ESPN has the best coverage and make every game seem “big” so hence the ratings.

    Fox needs to take notes because their World Cup and Copa America coverage is TERRIBLE.
