Lakic Will Spearhead Kaiserslautern's Attack.

You’d think this would be a relegation six-pointer for both of these sides, but Kaiserslautern have looked a notch above a side destined for the 2. Bundesliga this season. Their hosts, however, could be in some trouble without three points here. Srdjan Lakic has been in exceptional goal-scoring form all season, and his finishing ability from in and around the 18-yard box has been superb.

St. Pauli have picked up just a single point from their last six Bundesliga matches, and manager Holger Stanislawski has warned his side against profligacy against Kaiserslautern where they will be afforded little in terms of chances on goal. With no real goal-scorer in the St. Pauli squad, the hosts have to take their chances when they have them and they’ve failed to do that so far this season. With just two goals in their last six, they’re unlikely to pierce what has been a resilient Kaiserslautern defense lately.

After Kaiserslautern’s 5-0 win over Schalke, manager Marco Kurz has warned his side against complacency. He knows full well how much it means for his side to remain consistent, and he’ll be looking for a hard-fought win here against St. Pauli.
