ESPN has announced its initial coverage plans for Euro 2016, one of the world’s most entertaining national soccer competitions.

Every match will be shown live on TV and online. All together, ESPN networks will combine to televise more than 230 live hours of Euro 2016 beginning Friday, June 10 through Sunday, July 10 from 10 cities across France.

Most impressive is the fact that ESPN will carry 40 matches (including the opening game and final) on the main ESPN network, while ESPN2 will show 11 matches. ESPN Deportes, meanwhile, will show 45 live games and six tape-delayed games (on dates with concurrent matches). All of the ESPN Deportes broadcasts will be in Spanish.

For streaming, all of the games will be available in English and Spanish on WatchESPN.

In comparison, 67% of ESPN’s World Cup games were shown on the main ESPN network in 2014. For Euro 2016, ESPN will show 78% of the games on its main network, while the remainder will be on ESPN2.

New features that soccer fans will be able to find in Euro 2016 include ESPN3 Surround, which delivers exclusive content tied to live events on ESPN linear networks, offering a companion experience in real-time that will complement the big game on television. For UEFA EURO 2016, ESPN3 Surround will carry four different UEFA EURO 2016 streams for each match – the Spider Cam feed, the Spider Cam triple-box feed, the Tactical Cam feed, and the Tactical Cam triple-box feed – offering fans alternate camera angles, experiences and stories around the game.

All of the games on ESPN will include a 30-minute pregame, halftime and postgame studio analysis. Plus, ESPN’s SportsCenter will air in-between morning matches throughout the competition. ESPN Deportes, the Spanish-language home of the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 in the United States, will provide the most-comprehensive coverage every match day beginning with a 30-minute pre-game edition of Fuera de Juego, a halftime show, in-between match programming, and a two-hour TV exclusive presentation of Jorge Ramos y Su Banda immediately following the last match of the day.
