For the past 12 years – before a ball is kicked for a new season, World Soccer Talk readers have been predicting how the top 20 in the Premier League will finish. And with the 2020/21 Premier League season around the corner, now is the perfect time to reintroduce the Premier League table prediction challenge – to see who has the best crystal ball.
Simply go ahead and post the top 20 in the comments section from first place to last place of how you believe the 2020/21 season will finish. Then after the season ends on Sunday, May 23 2021, we’ll see who knows the Premier League better than anyone.
With players flying in and out during the transfer window, it’s always a challenge to predict how well (or not) these new signings will do. As of publication time, Chelsea appears to be the team most likely to see a bounce due to several massive signings. But with Chelsea and any other club in the Premier League, there are so many variables that can impact how well a team does — no matter how good (or not) it looks on paper.
So having said that, here’s my prediction of how the top 20 in the Premier League will finish for the 2020/21 season:

There’s just something about Sheffield that makes me think they are a bad run of games away from completely falling apart. I’m also definitely underrating Spurs.
I also agree that Wolves are a player at the top of the table this year.
