beIN SPORTS have launched a brand-new, free streaming channel on Roku this week that provides sports fans with access to select games without requiring any authentication.
To find the beIN SPORTS Xtra stream on Roku, it’s located under The Roku Channel app. The livestream is also available through the Roku website.
As of press time, no schedule has been published but it will be added in the near future to the beIN SPORTS website so viewers can have an expectation of what is coming up, said a beIN SPORTS spokesperson.
As far as what you can expect to see on the beIN SPORTS Xtra channel, beIN SPORTS Deputy Managing Director Antonio Briceño said, “In addition to select matches from our popular soccer leagues LaLiga, Ligue 1 and Süper Lig, we’ll also offer viewers access via major platforms and devices that emphasize the growing popularity of women’s sports, including Paris Saint-Germain home matches and the French Women National team.”
beIN SPORTS is positioning the type of content that will be available as “consistent live sampling of exclusive season-long access to soccer matches, combat sports, adventure sports, original studio productions, and a library of historically relevant sporting events.” beIN SPORTS XTRA will also host the show Sports Burst previously available on Facebook.
beIN SPORTS XTRA will be broadly available free on various additional multi-platform launches in the future.
They should add a paying option so the actual channel and overflow feeds can be streamed via Roku, Fire TV, etc and wouldn’t be dependent on cable carriage alone.
There is beIN Connect for that.
Oh, sorry, without cable no. My bad.
Could Pluto tv air Bein Sports Xtra for free yes or no?
Free huh? What will that cost?
Is there a schedule available of what will be shown on bein sports xtra?
A weekly downloadable schedule is at http://www.beinsportsxtra.com. This past weekend they had 3 live Ligue 1 matches and 1 live LaLiga match.
Will they be offering a pay service with all matches? DVR option would be nice too. I’d pay for it if it was a good stream with DVR.
More choice to watch soccer and another opportunity for Bein. Good for them, I hope this becomes big in the USA and contains quality content.
Is there going to be an option to watch it through Apple TV?
Not currently, but they have said they’ll be adding it to more streaming platforms in the future.
This is big news. Am I correct in thinking Bein has the Club World Cup rights? If not, who does?
Fox and Telemundo have FIFA events and tournaments until 2026 right?
Wish they would fix the app that nobody can use first
