NBCSN adds Sky Sports News on weekdays in United States

Beginning March 1, NBCSN will simulcast Sky Sports News on weekdays from 11am to Noon ET, providing sports fans in the United States with a daily update on the latest news from the Premier League, cricket, golf, rugby and other sports.

For many soccer fans in the United States, this will be welcome news. In the days of FOX Soccer Channel, many soccer fans were hooked on watching Sky Sports News every day to stay up-to-date on the latest transfer stories as well as breaking news from the world of sport.

“We look forward to sharing Sky Sports News’ best-in-class coverage and perspective on the world’s most popular sports with our NBCSN viewers each weekday morning,” said Jon Miller, President of Programming for NBC Sports & NBCSN.

This is the second major full-program collaboration between NBC Sports and Sky Sports since Comcast acquired Sky TV in October 2018. On January 31, NBC Sports and Sky Sports News combined to present a six-hour Premier League Transfer Deadline Day Special for U.S. viewers.

Has NBCSN stopped showing Sky Sports News?. I’ve not seen it on for about a week.

It’s not during July because of the Tour de France. It’ll return at the end of the month.

11:o0 EST is 8:00 here on the west coast and that conflicts with Dan Patrick Show. Not clear if we wil get on the west coast.

This is the one big advantage the PL has in terms of marketing here in the US, a common language. Rights holders for La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 could never partner with a local station of those countries to show their domestic highlight/analysis programming here because of the language barrier.

It’s a shame, would be great to see what people closer to the situation see/think.

Sky Sports is a great network. Why does NBC Sports EPL team refuse to learn from them?

SSN and Fanzone were the only things I missed about FSC, and I’m not sure Fan Zone is on anymore. Well done to NBC for adding more of the programming around the game. It only enhances your coverage. What’s next? Perhaps some of the football documentaries that we don’t always get to see over here.

I miss the coverage that Sky Sports News offered fans here in the US. I know that I’ll enjoy it weekdays during my 12 noon lunch hour.
