Messi record as Argentina thrash Venezuela in Copa quarters

Foxborough (United States) (AFP) – Lionel Messi scored a record-equalling 54th international goal as Argentina outclassed Venezuela 4-1 to book their place in the semi-finals of the Copa America Centenario.

The Barcelona superstar on Saturday scored his fourth goal of the tournament in the 60th minute at the Gillette Stadium to equal Gabriel Batistuta’s long-time Argentina international goalscoring record.

Argentina will play the United States in next Tuesday’s semi-finals in Houston.

I find it unbelievable Fox did not put 2 qt final games on TV that included Messi and the #1 attraction team in US Mexico,

They put both games on FX tonight. On FS1, they showed NASCAR and UFC.

Terrible channel FOX. Disastrous that they hold the rights to the 2018 World Cup. Will be watching on the internet.

Even when they do broadcast the games, their hideous crew of ‘pundits’ make watching it unbearable.
