fuboTV to roll out price increase

fubotv apps

fuboTV, the legal soccer streaming service that added Liga MX and MLS this week to its portfolio of La Liga, Serie A, Ligue Un and League Cup, will be increasing its prices beginning October 26.

The popular streaming platform offers soccer fans in the US access to beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS Español, GolTV, GolTV en Español as well as Univision, Univision Deportes, UniMás and more. However, beginning October 26, the monthly price for fuboTV will increase from $6.99 to $9.99.

But for early adopters, there is a loophole where you can lock in the $6.99 monthly rate.

All you have to do is sign up for a free trial to fuboTV between now and October 26, and if you enjoy the service, you can lock in the $6.99 monthly rate instead of paying $9.99 per month. While no contract is required and you can cancel at any time, you can save $36 per year by signing up before the price increase.

Or, you can sign up for an annual plan for $66/year before October 26, so that the monthly rate equates to #5.50/month (resulting in a 20% savings).

Despite fuboTV losing the rights to stream Bundesliga games, the US-based service offers tons of games per week, including:

• Today’s live match between Everton and Barnsley in the League Cup,
• Upcoming live coverage of Spurs vs. Arsenal in the Capital One Cup on September 22/23 via beIN SPORTS,
• el Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona on November 22,
• Live and on-demand coverage of all the major games from La Liga every weekend for the next 5 years,
• Live games from Serie A and Ligue Un,
• Coverage of the Capital One Cup featuring David and Goliath games from England, and more.

Even if you don’t have a TV subscription to beIN SPORTS or GolTV, you can enjoy some of the best soccer coverage via the fuboTV service. fuboTV can be streamed via apps, your computer, tablets or smartphones, as well as on Roku and to TV sets via Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV.

The complete list of soccer coverage that fuboTV offers includes:

La Liga, Serie A, Ligue Un, MLS (Spanish-language), Liga MX (Spanish), Championship, Capital One Cup, Eredivisie (Spanish), Benfica home games, Uruguayan league, Brazilian league, Copa America 2016 (Spanish), Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia, Russian Premier League, Africa Cup of Nations, Portuguese Cup, Scottish Cup and CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers.

Sign up for the free 24-hour trial to fuboTV, and if you like what you see, lock in the $6.99 monthly rate before the price increase.

I was going to sign up today and was disappointed. The web page puts a lot of channels but when your choosing a package it’s not only 9.99 (price increase not justified) but for the any 3 channels it’s 2.99 extra. If I’m going to pay over 16.00 for these channels might as well stay with sling.

I have been very impressed with FuboTV, especially their customer service. One weekend last season they had some technical difficulties with a few of their broadcasts and without me emailing complaining they sent me an email apologizing and gave me the following month free!

I wish they still had the Bundesliga, though.

I moved recently from Sling International ($10 month) to Fubo for half of the price. Pretty good deal as I primarily watch Bein. – Advantage Fubo in this scenario.

Considering lack of programming guide and on-demand availability for all programing, the price increase could swing advantage back to Sling.

With the price lock Fubo is still good deal. Their support is very responsive. However it would be nice if they add some kind of programming guide (Roku app) like Sling has.

I was able to lock Fubo year subscription for under $60 ($4.95 a month) with the 30% off promo code. I am not sure if the coupon is still valid…but I can post it here if anyone is interested (and if that is not against the forum rules).

Rumor has it that fubo is getting to launch a redesign soon, so hopefully it’ll include a programming guide.

They’re going to have a DVR service, it’s been discussed in the chat. They are also working on getting BEIN Connect

This is what they (Fubo support) applied to my account. I am not sure if is still valid. I signed up about month ago.

        Total: $4.95/mo (billed annually)
Coupon code “Save30_3” has been applied to the account.

I can’t argue with XX games a week!

$10 a month starts making it seem like not such a great deal, relative to DishWorld Sports, and especially in light of them losing the Bundesliga.
