Blue Moon Rising, the Manchester City Movie: Video Trailer

You’ve seen Manchester City, the football club. Now get ready for Manchester City, the movie. Later this year, a film entitled “Blue Moon Rising” will be released in cinemas throughout the United Kingdom to chronicle the meteoric rise of the blue half of Manchester. The film includes behind-the-scenes footage from the boardroom, dressing room and more as it gives viewers a glimpse into Manchester City’s 2009-10 season. The film also follows the lives of several die-hard Manchester CIty supporters as it shows in real life what the club means to these grown men.

The film was supposed to originally be a television documentary but has morphed into a film.

Watch the above video trailer, and then watch the video below which includes some additional footage. As you can see, the quality of the video and editing is superb. It should be quite interesting to see the final version of the film.

Oh and if Manchester City was full of “money minded twats” then why are they all arguing after bad results?, i agree that there is no team spirit, and you do need that to win the championship. All the players argue after bad results because they’re frustrated. There was never any arguing when Kolo Toure was captain but it all suddenly happens when Tevez is, he can’t even speak English for Gods sake, he is one of the best players in the world but he is NOT a captain, Mancini needs to wake up. I’m not just saying it because of the recent results but Mancini needs to go, then we need to bring in a manager who can speak good english, id like Martin O’Neil but then again, he’s got a history of signing players for massive prices, but id love a english manager.

Oh and those who doubted this movie I really don’t know why. Its a great movie, you dont need to be a man city fan to watch it for a start and its a great storyline, its about the ups and downs of football, the passion of the supporters and the atmosphere they generate in the ground. When I say ups and downs i mean when we beat Arsenal 4-2 it was a up and when we lost 1-0 to Tottenham it was a down, when we beat chelsea 1-0 its a up, when we lose 4-3 to united its a down, its a good movie and you need to give it a watch before judging it.

Vazjvar, Im a manchester city fan and I know when Scholes retires they have a young player in Gibson to replace him, and to be fair Giggs isn’t in the 1st team that much now anyway, but they have Park Ji Sung there. They have other young players, Nani, Rooney, Rafeal, Fabio, Evans, Amos, Hernandez, Bebe etc. There’s going to be a future Manchester United, plus Manchester City have young players, Silva, Balotelli, Johnson, Boyata, Hart, Boateng, Kompany etc who are all still very young. There’s a bright future for both man utd and man city, but with the investment man city have, i personally think they will be a bigger force than man utd.

Premierleaguered ; what kind of loser are you??: P
United was a big team when cantona, beckham, stam etc played for the team, but look at youre team now ” rafael da silva – oshea?? — heargraves who have been injured all the time, or park??? ahaha, wtf are an south korean player doing in a so big club like united? or berbatov, the pornstar…. You mos agree that the squad united have now are the worst united squad in the history.. when giggs, scholes, vandersar and ferguson are gone, then its ” byebye united, Welcome city”: ) Its time thatt city take over…. Wait and see what tevez will do with united: )

I concur with u that United squad is not the strongest.Rafeal is World Class
,did u ever see him play????
regarding O’Shea n Park they are solid squad players.
Berbatov is World Class Striker ,his finishing abilities , technique is sublime ,his Creativity is wonderful.Only mug teams like AC Milan ,Inter ,Bayern Munich will bet for him.

Our Squad is in transition ,Fergie knows wat to do about that ,do u think he will leave when the club is struggling ,he breathes Man United.

your side lacks ambition n played for a point United n you think your team will overtake United???

You n your team is a sore Losers

Premierleaguered are you mad? Rooney stayed because United were that desperate to keep him that they would give him 250k a week (on more money than any other city player is on).. Give me a break with your crap like please. Your team is full of a load of glory hunting scum bags but when you need money desperately and you have to sell, you wont have half of the attendance you do now. Oh and I never wanted Rooney, infact I knew Rooney was going to stay, I thought he was man united threw and threw but i suppose he’s like every other player, just in it for the cash.

    • Premierleaguered

      November 4, 2010 at 3:25 am

Oh oh oh ,I never said that you wanted Rooney ,I said some of the Man City fans were very desperate n wanted to sign him. This show you didn’t get me properly.Even your very own Tevez wanted him.Stated that you would be more complete with that Cu*t.

If my team is made of glory hunting scumbags ,your team is loaded with money minded twats.

Any player in the world only wants to win n therefore if they are in a big
club which has a great history n many trophies they will certainly be a glory hunter.

Regarding Rooney ,I completely despise him after his recent drama ,I certainly don’t want to see him in the Red Shirt.I also think that no player is bigger than the club.I only support the club MANCHESTER UNITED.

7 Goals in 8 Games for Carlos Tevez, Manchester United got rid of him for £30m. Thanks for the lovely bargain the “best manager the premiership has ever seen” Alex Ferguson. Manchester appreciate it. (there’s only one manchester team)..

Ferguson is really a great manager ,look at Hernandez man.Do U people really think that Ferguson is gonna let Rooney join your shit club??? You giddy fans thought he was arriving n made stupid things like this , 1)

it really made the week for me.

Regarding your earlier post ,Giggs was brought from Man City when he was 14 years old as then Ryan Wilson.Scholes trained with Manchester United from 14 n not brought ,so make sure you have your source correct before posting the comment.

I personally can’t wait for this to come out, relive the classic year in which Man City so nearly got a top 4 spot but in the end it was Tottenham Hotspur who deservedly got the place in the Champions League – sealing it, as irony and a great movie plot would have it, away against Man City!

Why don’t they just show Oasis at the City of Manchester Stadium rather than the football team?

  8. Louis

    September 27, 2010 at 6:13 pm

We do lash out on proven players, but what are you talking about with the word “proven”? Your calling all of our signings proven but yet they’re still not good enough. This all come from a bunch of reds commenting on city’s film. If city won the premiership you would still say negative stuff to say. I didnt say its bad having supporters from all over the world either, i just think that people from MANCHESTER should support their local team which is manchester city. The reason behind having supporters is to give the team support anyway and we make twice the amount of noise of man utd fans and they have nearly 30 thousand more fans in their ground. Utd are still in contention for each and every throphy available yes, i just think city are going to turn a lot of heads in the next 1-2 years. Giggs come from manchester city, Scholes was also bought and Beckham has gone? a perfect example of a home grown player is Micah Richards, he didnt get bought for 5-10m like Smalling, Nani, Tosic, Rooney, Hernandez, Bebe etc, he went through man city all the way through.

Our history started in 93 ??? Then it’s a fact that you have been watching football over the past 2-3 years ,please note the history we were the first english club to have won the CL in1968 ,we are only club to have matched Real’s stranded in 1950 ,60 ,we have already won more than 26 trophies(shitty has still won 11 trophies ) before sir alex took over n we aren’t scared of going back or forward and you little mugs think you are the hero.

Ha ,ha ,ha ,another city stupidity.Their fans think that fighting for the champions league spot for just a season is equal to winning the treble and FIFA club world cup.

    • Louis

      September 5, 2010 at 5:03 pm

This isn’t about manchester united, its about us. If you have nothing good to say about the film then I dont see the point in commenting. When Manchester city buy Balotelli, Silva, Boateng, Milner, Kolarov, Toure etc, you sort of people always comment… its called being bitter and jealous because manchester united are in deap debt, FACT.

      • premierleaguered

        September 10, 2010 at 2:05 am

its not called being jealous ,United are in a great debt and i agree with that.I just wanted to convey you fools that you have won nothing ,other than signing money minded twats ,and you believe that you have risen above United?? Although we are in a great debt we are still in contention for each n every trophy available.Win at least 16 league titles , 3 cl ,7 fa cup ,15 charity shield and beat United in the number of fans they have ,be the most valuable franchise in the world ,then film this kind of rubbish

        • andrew

          September 10, 2010 at 7:29 pm

you know every time you walk past a bitter twisted united fan, you can spot him out from the crowd a mile away. he will alway been the man shouting and arguing with a blind person just because he can get away with it. message to all united fan’s ” grow up, get a life, remeber your in over 1billion pound of debt and then finally smile” we will always and forever be more loyal fans than you could ever be you glory hunting scumbags. stop talking about your trophies and look at the state of your squad, ground and 10/11 shirt’s your club is a joke.

        • Louis

          September 10, 2010 at 7:49 pm

premierleaguered, manchester united fans make me laugh, you’ve won all them thophy’s in the past but can you stand the future? we dont think we have risen above united at all. But your just jealous that we can go out and buy players for 30million and you can buzz of Smalling and Hernandez. United fans are glory hunters, why else would they support them? they have fans in China, pakistan etc but they’re not doing it for the football, they’re doing it for the success.

          • premierleaguered

            September 11, 2010 at 1:30 am

WTF ??? Manchester United fans are glory hunting n disloyal ,we have better average attendance than city way back from 1940’s ,you better check this stats before writing
We have won all the trophies in the past ??? What makes you think that the previous 5 years is ancient history ??? To be frank ,we aren’t jealous of you people singing money minded players ,but we are having a laugh at you,how much immatured you people are.
We can only sign smalling , hernandez ,bebe for quite low money but look at the likes of Ronaldo ,Rooney ,nani etc etc n (this page won’t be enough to name them all) ,United sign these kind of youngsters n makes into a global star. Most of the United stars are from their Academy ( i don’t need to mention their names). So make note the stats before you speak.

What makes you think United fans argue with a blind person??? We need to grow n get a life?? Wat a twat you are??? Having money alone doesn’t guarantee success ,ok, please understand that.

We are in a debt ,as I already we are also successful with all these debts. What kind of idiot you are ,labeling United fans as scumbags. You fools have this money only for the past few years n think you have achieved everything ???

Looking at our Squad ,we have good players who have tough mentality ,who don’t care about money ,great veterans ,fantastic youth etc etc

Our stadium is the only 5 star stadium in England ( managed by a club ) with a seating capacity of 75,957 and an Average attendance of more than 75,000 ,you must look at the condition of your stadium before speaking rubbish.

Hey Chum , what the hell in the world you care about our kit?? Football is about winning thing n playing good not about dress ,ok.good luck for the season

        • Louis

          September 11, 2010 at 8:53 am

You have basically just said your a glory hunter, all you ever go on about it your throphy of which you won IN THE PAST. If you havent noticed you bought Wayne Rooney for 30million but yet he still come from your academy? Nani is a pile of rubbish to. Like I said you poach players from less fortunate clubs and say they have come from the “youth system” which they quite obviously don’t. If Hernandez turns amazing in 3 years time you’ll all claim he come from the world famous “youth system” too. I agree with everything Andrew said btw. Oh and you are glory hunters or else you united fans would all support your local teams

          • premierleaguered

            September 11, 2010 at 10:57 am

            September 14, 2010 at 5:31 pm

Lol, looking at some of the comments on here and you united fans make me laugh, commenting on everything manchester city do. I heard it was 0-0 between united and rangers but i bet non of you man utd fans went to the game did you. Your all tourists watching them on tv. Support your local team and be a proper supporter instead of supporting a team because they win a lot of throphy’s. Its called being part of something.

          • premierleaguered

            September 15, 2010 at 9:21 am

Well ,my friend you mentioned that none of the United fans went to watch the game ,i guess there were around 74,408 fans for 75,957 .Collect the precise details before you write..You already commented that United fans are glory hunters ,they don’t come from Manchester ,did you look at the stats that I provided you ?? If you don’t want people from other countries supporting United n claim that they are tourists ,glory hunters ,other stupid names ,you must look at your own club n yourself ,is your club owned by a citizen of Manchester ,do you have a manager from Britain ?? Do you have a car manufactured in Manchester ,your clothing ,TV ,Home theater made in manchester etc,etc .This is globalization man ,you have to cope up with it ,otherwise suffer.

Against Rangers we drew nil all ,but you have to look at the formation they played ,United’s playing eleven.

You mentioned in your previous comment that United steal players from lesser profile clubs n claim that they are from their academy.Well you even don’t do that ,you lash out money on proven players ,you have to accept that United dare to buy younger players n make them a star.

Nani a rubbish ??? Get a life friend.

United Steal players ok ok ,but wat about Giggs ,Scholes,Beckham,Neville,Evans etc etc much more ,i need to browse.

            Good luck my Friend..

What’s this ‘movie’ about? Spending loads of money on loads of players and still not winning anything? Your ‘meteoric’ rise to the giddy heights of 5th place? Lmao, at least wait until you win a trophy! Although by the time that happens we may not be watching movies anymore, but some kind of holographic/virtual reality simulatioin.

Joke of an idea, but it will raise their profile and unfortunately help them reach the goals they set out to achieve. People are stupid, what can you do about it?

I do love how in the first trailer at just after 00:40 they inadvertently show a bunch of United fans celebrating in Eastlands with a red flare. I guess that was an oversight by whoever did that trailer.

      • Louis

Bruce, even if it was to show the atmosphere in the game at least we get some. Manchester United have like 75,000 fans in their ground and you can barely hear a thing. Manchester City WON 2-1 that day in argubly the most entertaining game within the last 10 years so we’re bound to feature that?

      August 28, 2010 at 11:22 am

lol, how chav to put out a film about an overfunded team of selfish players only there for a massive payday. Then try to make it “legit” by including some true supporters there long before the dosh was. Doesn’t change the fact that they’d be mid-table if they weren’t sponsored by an owner with lots of dosh, and less common sense. We’ve seen this once already at Chelsea.

And they made a movie about it as well, but at least they had a Premier league title so talk about. It all smells of Peter Kenyon-like PR jiggery.

      • Evan

        August 28, 2010 at 6:35 pm

If we didn’t have all that dosh we would have been relegated last year most likely the way things were going. But guess what, we would still be drawing 40,000+ in the championship.
btw, you sounds pretty bitter that man city is the richest club and not hundreds of million of pounds in debt like their neighbors. Get used to it.

      • Louis

        September 5, 2010 at 5:10 pm

Lets see, Berbatov 30million, Rooney 30million, Ferdinand 30million, Valencia 18million, SMALLING 10million, Carrick 14million, Bebe 8million, Hernandez 10 million? but yet city are the only one’s who spend? and if you even say that united players go threw the world famous united “youth system” then your a bigger idiot than i thought. Manchester united players poach young players from less fortunate clubs and try to make them better players, most of the time they fail in doing so…

      • Louis

        September 6, 2010 at 2:29 pm
