Blackpool Away Jersey for 2010-11 Premier League Season

Blackpool Football Club has unveiled their new away shirt for the 2010-11 Premier League season.

The white shirt with tangerine trim is simple but elegant. Manufactured by Carbrini, the shirt will be officially available for purchase as of Friday, August 13. Just like the home shirt, the jersey features the sponsor’s name Wonga, which is a British expression meaning money. The company itself is a payday loan firm. Despite the tongue in cheek name, it’s one of those industries that take advantage of the poor and working class, but I won’t go on and on about that. Instead, the Blackpool away jersey itself definitely gets a thumbs up from me.

Shame about the sponsor though. Check out some of the reviews about wonga at – hmmmmm? Premiership material? I don’t think so.

It is clear with the crushing victory over Wigan today that Blackpool will be a title contender this year. I still expect Chelsea to ultimately succeed, but Blackpool will be in the top five and will qualify for European football in 2012. Soon the stadium upgrade will be finished, we’ll be a massive club once again and will return to our rightful place among the top tiers of world football. We have been down for so god damn long, it looks like up for us!

This shirt is so clean. The orange trim on the collar and the crest accent it so perfectly. Cabrini got this so right. I’m going to be silently rooting for this team as an underdog this year. What a story they are!
