The World Cup commentators vary, with some having responsibility for the World Feed, and others serving specific channels and stations. Regardless, commentators can make a big difference with viewer experience on television. We all prefer certain personalities inside the booth. Some soccer fans may even mute the TV when watching our favorite teams play because of certain commentators working the games.

As the 2022 World Cup is almost set to start, commentators working the world feed have finally been announced. Although some broadcasting companies will use their own talent, some will opt to use the world feed.

Analysts working the world feed will consist of 12 total people working in duos. The six groups are: Peter Drury and Alan Smith, John Roder and Casey Stoney, David Stowell and Lucy Ward, Daniel Mann and Andy Townsend, Simon Brotherton and Matt Holland, and Kevin Keatings and Efan Ekoku.

Here in the United States, FOX Sports currently has the English-language rights for the upcoming World Cup. The aforementioned list of commentators will not be working the games on FOX. Instead, the American broadcasting company will use their own on-air talent.

FOX not using World Cup world feed commentators

FOX’s pairings for the upcoming World Cup include John Strong and Stu Holden, JP Dellacamera and Cobi Jones, Derek Rae and Aly Wagner, Warren Barton and Jacqui Oatley, and Ian Darke and Landon Donovan.

While FOX will use their own commentators here in the States, broadcasters in Canada will be using the world feed. This means that soccer fans in the neighboring country to the north can expend to hear the previously mentioned list of world-feed analysts. Other countries around the globe will also use the world feed as well.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is set to begin on Sunday, November 20th in Al Khor. Hosts Qatar will face Ecuador in a Group A matchup to start the tournament. The United States men’s national team play Wales in their opening game of the competition. This match is set for Monday, November 21st in Al Rayyan.
