More images of Everton’s new home shirt for the 2009-10 season have been revealed. Designed and manufactured by Le Coq Sportif, the new home shirt is a tribute to the famous Le Coq Sportif shirt worn by Everton between 1983-85 when Everton won the FA Cup, First Division title and European Cup Winners Cup trophy.
The shirt features a unique round collar, and three lines at the bottom of the short-sleeve shirt version.
The Le Coq Sportif shirt also features another unique aspect (pictured below):
The inside collar commemorates the 25th anniversary of Everton’s 1984-85 European Cup Winners Cup victory when they beat Rapid Vienna 3-1 in the final. A nice touch by Le Coq Sportif is the naming of the starting eleven which won that match: Neville Southall, Gary Stevens, Pat Van Den Hauwe, Kevin Ratcliffe, Derek Mountfield, Peter Reid, Trevor Steven, Graeme Sharp, Andy Gray, Paul Bracewell and Kevin Sheedy.

I bought this jersey last season, which I often wear. Even though it looks like I am wearing a large bib from a distance, I still love the retro look of the most successful Everton side in history (the 1984-85 team). It’s far better than the current drab one colour home shirt with the loose/oversized limp crew neck. The Elephant Man can put his head through that large round neck!

Oh no…that jersey is disgusting. The “25” is fine but the white roundneck and the V is mank. Who signs off on these jerseys??? Certainly won’t be increasing any club revenue from jersey sales anyway!!! Arguably the worst kit in the Premier League.
