<p>Later this month, as part of the agreement between Barcelona and Spotify, the team will face Real Madrid while wearing a special, one-off kit.</p>



<p>Spotify have sponsored the Blaugrana for <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/news/barcelona-agree-sponsorship-deal-with-spotify-20220315-CMS-375863.html">exactly two years now</a>. In the past, the team’s shirts have had artwork by Rosalia, Drake, and the <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/news/barcelona-to-rock-rolling-stones-logo-on-shirts-for-el-clasico-20231019-WST-463116.html">Rolling Stones</a>. This year, <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/teams/barcelona-tv-schedule/">Barcelona</a>‘s front jersey will include the logo of another artist: Grammy-winning Colombian singer Karol G.</p>



<p>For one game for both the men’s and women’s teams, the club will replace the Spotify logo. It will instead have Karol G’s ‘Bichota’. She has been the most-streamed female Latin singer internationally for four years in a row. The kit will display Karol G’s name within her recognizable barbed wire insignia.</p>



<p>The women’s Barcelona squad will be the first to wear the jersey. This will come in their April 13 Liga F encounter against Villarreal. The men’s team will not be able to wear the special-edition kit until Sunday, April 21. That will be in the <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/history-of-el-clasico-real-madrid-vs-barcelona">El Clasico</a> versus <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/teams/real-madrid-tv-schedule/">Real Madrid</a>.</p>



<h2>Additional treat for die-hard fans</h2>



<p>In honor of those who break boundaries, inspire others, and leave a legacy for future generations to follow, the club are trading shirts with the singer.</p>

<p>In addition to the jersey, a capsule collection of tees, sweatshirts, scarves, and beanies is also available. As part of the shirt swap, the Bluagrana will also release a limited-edition Spotify playlist called “Barca Matchday”. It will contain, unsurprisingly, songs by Karol G.</p>

<p>Those interested in purchasing the special jersey may do so via the FC Barcelona Store. Exclusive jerseys with the number 1899 will be available, paying homage to the year the club was founded. An additional treat for die-hard fans is a rare collection of 22 jerseys autographed by the men’s and women’s starting lineup.</p>

<h2>More collaborations to follow</h2>

<p>Karol G’s collaboration with Spotify and Barcelona comes after Rosalia’s limited-edition collection. Last year, in commemoration of the one-year anniversary of her Grammy-winning record, they released a limited-edition jersey. It was a first for the men’s and women’s teams.</p>



<p>In October 2022, when Drake became the first artist to exceed 50 billion downloads on Spotify, the FC Barcelona men’s kits for El Clásico included his OVO emblem.</p>

<p>Barcelona is set to don a unique jersey for their upcoming matchup with bitter rivals <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/teams/real-madrid-tv-schedule/">Real Madrid</a>. The Catalan club <a href="https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/news/3741791/spotify-and-fc-barcelona-make-history-again-barca-kit-for-el-clasico-to-feature-the-rolling-stones-iconic-tongue-and-lips-logo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced</a> on Thursday that the Rolling Stones Tongue &amp; Lips logo will be present on the front of their shirts for the game. <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/teams/barcelona-tv-schedule/">Barca</a> hosts Real in the massive match on Saturday, Oct. 28.</p>



<h2>Barcelona shirt honors upcoming Rolling Stones album</h2>



<p>The legendary rock band’s logo replaces Barca’s typical Spotify emblem. The streaming service and club previously agreed to a long-term deal worth around $300 million. A switch to honor the Rolling Stones, however, will only be temporary. Barca will wear the special jerseys just for El Clasico.</p>

<p>The move comes as The Rolling Stones release a new album called Hackney Diamonds. It is the band’s first album with original material in nearly two decades. The album is set to be released on streaming services on October 20th, eight days before the El Clasico matchup.</p>



<p>“We’re huge football fans and honored that Spotify have brought our Tongue &amp; Lips logo to grace the FC Barcelona shirt to celebrate the release of the Stones’ new ‘Hackney Diamonds’ album,” the band <a href="https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/news/3741791/spotify-and-fc-barcelona-make-history-again-barca-kit-for-el-clasico-to-feature-the-rolling-stones-iconic-tongue-and-lips-logo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">said</a> in an official statement. “We’ll be cheering on the players on the pitch as well as fans around the world who will be tuning in to watch this iconic match.”</p>



<h5>Fans can buy special jerseys and other collaborative items </h5>



<p>Along with the jerseys, Barca also announced that they will release a series of items in collaboration with the band. This includes t-shirts, hats, hoodies, and other pieces. Fans will be able to purchase these items, including jerseys, on Oct. 23.</p>



<p>“Yet again our collaboration with Spotify has taken things to the next level,” <a href="https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club/news/3741791/spotify-and-fc-barcelona-make-history-again-barca-kit-for-el-clasico-to-feature-the-rolling-stones-iconic-tongue-and-lips-logo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">proclaimed</a> Juli Guiu, Barca’s marketing vice president. “Bringing together two icons – The Rolling Stones logo and the Barça jersey – is a special moment for our fans around the world. Music and football form a special partnership with a long future ahead of them and we are happy to add another chapter to the story alongside Spotify.”</p>



<p>Barca also revealed that the women’s team will wear the Rolling Stones jerseys as well. The Liga F side dons the special shirts against Sevilla on Sunday, Nov. 5.</p>
