
<p>Tottenham Hotspur have apparently approached Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner about the possibility of being the new Spurs head coach. German outlet <em><a href="https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/eintracht-frankfurt/ploetzlich-trainer-alarm-bei-frankfurt-er-koennte-glasner-nachfolger-werden-83286130.bild.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bild</a></em> is reporting that the north London outfit is interested in Glasner should its managerial position open up.</p>



<p>Antonio Conte is still at the helm with <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/tottenham-tv-schedule/">Spurs</a> as of Wednesday afternoon. The Italian has been with the club since November of 2021. However, the coach’s latest <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/news/conte-explodes-at-spurs-players-in-fiery-press-conference-20230318-WST-423720.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">postgame outburst</a> has put his job in jeopardy. After watching his team throw away a 3-1 lead against cellar dwellers Southampton, Conte ripped his players. He called the squad “selfish” and claimed that the team is “used” to losing. This, understandably so, hasn’t gone down well with the Spurs officials.</p>



<h5>Austrian coach recently won European silverware</h5>



<p>Glasner is under contract with the German team until the summer of 2024. The Austrian coach guided Frankfurt to the 2021/22 <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/europa-league-tv-schedule/">Europa League</a> title last season. This was despite finishing a disappointing 11th in the <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/bundesliga-tv-schedule/">Bundesliga</a> table that year. Frankfurt are currently sixth in the German top flight division during the current campaign.</p>



<p>The German club even faced Spurs earlier in the season. Glasner’s crew were in <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/champions-league-tv-schedule/">Champions League</a> Group D alongside the Premier League outfit. Frankfurt drew Spurs 0-0 at home, before losing 3-2 in London back in October. Both clubs managed to qualify for the knockout round. However, the duo were also beaten in the round of 16 as well.</p>

<h2>Tottenham keep new coach on mind with potential Conte decision </h2>



<p>Former Frankfurt boss Friedhelm Funkel recently claimed that Glasner would consider the offer from Spurs. “Eintracht Frankfurt is a great club, but there are even more attractive jobs, Funkel <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11886211/Tottenham-make-contact-Eintracht-Frankfurt-manager-Oliver-Glasner-replace-Antonio-Conte.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">told</a> <em>Sky Germany</em>. “If a request comes from abroad, then I believe that Oliver will think about it.”</p>



<p><em><a href="https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/12839157/antonio-conte-outburst-tottenham-to-decide-head-coachs-future-in-next-48-hours" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sky Sports</a></em> is reporting that a decision on Conte’s future is expected by Wednesday night. The coach is currently in Italy for a few days while the Premier League is on hold. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is using the international break to make a confident decision. The <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/premier-league-tv-schedule/">Premier League</a> does not resume again until the beginning of April.</p>
