Since this weekend features the semi-finals of the FA Cup, I thought it'd be interesting to take a trip down memory lane to see what a FA Cup semi-final from 1982 was like featuring two teams that in today's age would seem like unlikely participants at this stage in the tournament. Queens Park Rangers played […]

Bolton Wanderers unveiled their new home football kit for the 2010-11 season last week. It's a dramatic improvement from the shirt designs they've worn during the last two years. ESPN2 to Televise Manchester and North London Derbies Next Week

ESPN has been patient throughout this entire 2009-2010 Premier League season in regards to which matches they've been able to televise live on ESPN2. Fulham and Liverpool Fans: Beware of Bobby Gould

Previously, I've written about how English soccer matches sound better on radio than television, as well as how the FA Cup third round is made for radio not TV. Richard Whittall from the A More Splendid Life blog agreed. However, I was wrong. What I should have said is that BBC radio commentaries are often […]

The Agony Of Losing On The Away Goals Rule

I've never been a big fan of the away goals rule because it seems like an odd rule that exists only as a cruel and unusual punishment to knock a losing team out of a cup tournament. But the match between Manchester United and Bayern Munich was a perfect example of how well it can […]

Since it's relaunch on March 1, the track record for FoxSoccer.tv — Fox's broadband product that features live and recorded games — has been frustratingly poor. First there were the problems that plagued the Manchester United against Liverpool match shown live on Sunday, March 20. And Tuesday, the FoxSoccer.tv website was down for the entire […]

Time For Man United Fans To End Green and Gold Brigade

Watching the Manchester United against Chelsea match on television this past Saturday, it was clear to see that there were more green and gold colors in the stands at Old Trafford than the traditional red, white and black of the Red Devils. It made me wonder what's more important for Manchester United supporters — their […]

Birmingham City New 2010-11 Home Kit: Vote Now

Birmingham City has made the smart move to allow its supporters to choose which football kit the club should wear for the 2010-11 season.
