Cobi Jones: American Soccer Icon

This past Monday, Cobi Jones perhaps the most recognizable American player of his generation announced this MLS season will be his last. Fox’s Jaime Trecker on Bradley’s Call Ups

" If nothing more, this roster at least signals that Bradley is serious about trying to win some games. Moreover, the selection is a welcome change from a pattern that had some players wondering if their international careers were finished as soon as they dared play in better leagues overseas." His view pretty much sums […]

Emilio Does It Again in CONCACAF Champions Cup Semis

Luciano Emilio who we have already hailed as the best foreign signing by an MLS club not named David Beckham scored on a stoppage time header to give DC United a hard fought 1-1 draw with Chivas in the home leg of CONCACAF Champions Cup. In the other match Houston defeated Pachuca 2-0 with a […]

A Long Difficult Summer Ahead for Nats

The draws for both Copa America and the CONCACAF Gold Cup have both been made and neither is particularly favorable to the United States. MLS Teams Advance in the Champions Cup

Scottish International Paul Dalglish (yes he is Kenny Dalglish's son!) scored a critical goal and helped set up another as Houston defeated Puntarenas FC 2-0 in the home leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Quarterfinal held in College Station. American Goalkeepers Lead the Way

As more and more American field players have gravitated to the EPL and Championship the focus on American Goalkeepers has faded. Robbie Fowler MLS Bound?

Today's somewhat shocking signing of Andriy Voronin by Liverpool effective when the Summer transfer window opens in July would seem to suggest that the persistent rumors that ex- Liverpool star Steve Nichol (who now manages the New England Revolution) is looking to bring Robbie Fowler to MLS have credibility. Fowler scored two PK goals for […]
