
<p>Fans of <em>Ted Lasso</em> are flocking to England to visit the pub heavily featured in the hit television show. The Crown &amp; Anchor pub is called <a href="https://www.princeshead.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Prince’s Head</a>, but its location is in the heart of Richmond. A historic establishment from the 1700’s, the little pub has always been a popular spot for locals. Nevertheless, it is now an international tourist destination for foreign soccer fans.</p>



<h2>Pub one of few settings in the show in Richmond</h2>



<p>The popularity of the pub comes down to a few factors. First of all, the bar is a key setting in the story of the show. Fans regularly flock to the Crown &amp; Anchor to cheer on AFC Richmond, both on matchdays and when the team is off. A fairly significant piece of the show is centered around the pub. Ted Lasso himself even enjoys a pint or two inside the hangout with Coach Beard as well.</p>



<p>However, other key places in the show are not part of Richmond. For instance, Nelson Road, the home stadium of the fictitious club is Selhurst Park. <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/premier-league-tv-schedule/">Premier League</a> side <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/teams/crystal-palace-tv-schedule/">Crystal Palace</a> call the arena home in the London borough of Croydon.</p>



<p>Richmond’s training ground also belongs to another real club outside of Richmond. SkyEX Community Stadium, where the Greyhounds train, is where Hayes &amp; Yeading United Football Club plays. The semi-professional team was formed in 2007 after the merger of two separate clubs. The facility is also not in Richmond either. Instead, the ground currently sits in Hayes, a town just west of Richmond.</p>

<h2>Pub manager has met <em>Ted Lasso</em> fans from all over the world visiting England</h2>



<p>This makes the pub one of the few key settings of the show that is in Richmond. Reece Kent (no relation to Roy) took over management of The Prince’s Head in 2022. Although he was aware of the popularity of the show when he arrived, Kent was shocked to meet so many people visiting from all over the world.</p>



<p>“We’ve had people from Brazil, Canada, Australia, Germany. I think I’ve met someone who’s come from every main country now. It’s been quite a surprise how many people want to come actually,” Kent previously told <em><a href="https://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news/23633182.tourists-flock-ted-lasso-pub-princes-head-richmond/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Guardian</a></em>. </p>



<p>“A lady does a whole Ted Lasso tour around Richmond and they end on the bench on the green. Tourists always want to come in and have a chat after – you can even tell when the tour is finished they all have an AFC Richmond shirt on.”</p>



<p>While fans will certainly recognize the exterior of the pub, the show was not filmed inside The Prince’s Head. Interior shots included in the show were, instead, recorded on a separate set. Despite this, the pub proudly displays several AFC Richmond souvenirs inside.</p>



<p><em>Ted Lasso</em> wrapped up recently after three highly successful seasons. In all, the show received 61 total Primetime Emmy nominations. Almost as important, the show’s popularity even helped launch a <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/news/ted-lasso-ice-cream-available-featuring-biscuits-with-the-boss-20230302-WST-421921.html">new flavor</a> from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams as well. Despite the fact that the show has finished filming, The Prince’s Head, and the town of Richmond, will continue seeing an influx of international travelers for years to come.</p>

Ted Lasso fans make pilgrimage to Richmond pub in England

Super fans of the popular television show Ted Lasso are flocking to a pub in Richmond, England to celebrate the fictitious soccer club.


<p>Super fans of <em>Ted Lasso</em> will now be able to spend a night at The Crown &amp; Anchor, the fictionalized pub, restaurant and hangout spot for AFC Richmond supporters.</p>



<p>The hit show’s creators teamed up with Air BnB to allow fans the chance to have a pint at the pub. Not only can people reserve a spot to have fun at the establishment, but fans can even have an overnight stay at The Crown &amp; Anchor. However, fans of the show have to act quickly. </p>



<p>This is only for a three-day event on October 23, 24 and 25. Guests can reserve for up to four people. However, they can only book a one-night stay. That way, one group cannot book all three nights that the fictional pub becomes reality.</p>



<h2>Mae will make appearances at the pub, just like in ‘Ted Lasso’</h2>



<p>A stay at the pub would not be complete without Mae the landlady. The actress playing Mae in the show, Anette Badland, will also feature at the pub throughout the three-night event. AirBnB interviewed Badland on the opportunity to host at the pub.</p>

<h5>Booking will include various activities</h5>



<p>Booking a night at The Crown &amp; Anchor will cost guests about $120 per night. Activities inside the pub among guests include a competitive round of darts, taking a seat in Ted’s favorite spot, singing karaoke and tasting biscuits with garbage water (tea).</p>



<p>Booking will become <a href="https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/694055224756906854?source_impression_id=p3_1678466599_y7GsddYSY1TsVVxw" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">available</a> on Tuesday, March 21 at 1 p.m. ET. While staying at the pub is cheap, potential guests are responsible for their own travel plans to and from London.</p>



<p><a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/news/apple-announces-launch-date-for-ted-lasso-season-three-20230214-WST-419726.html">Season three of <em>Ted Lasso</em></a>  debuts on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, March 15. Actor Jason Sudeikis <a href="https://worldsoccertalk.com/tv/why-ted-lasso-season-3-could-be-the-end-of-the-apple-tv-series-20230307-WST-422536.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recently claimed</a> that the upcoming season could be the final installment of the show.</p>
