
<p>Comcast has ended their promotion to offer Peacock Premium for free to COX cable customers. The move was made official on Tuesday, January 17th. COX is  currently the third-largest cable company in the United States, with around 6.5 million users nationwide. Subscribers to the cable company will now have to pay $4.99 per month to access <a href="https:\/\/www.peacocktv.com/sports?irclickid=2JN3J9RrTxyNTjwX4jzcUwTxUkA12IxIEWVZUY0&amp;irgwc=1&amp;utm_source=pk_vrs_imra&amp;utm_medium=pd_aff_acq_psdlnk&amp;utm_term=Double%20Decker%20Group&amp;utm_content=1313913&amp;cid=2201affiliateevgnpkpdaff4393&amp;utm_campaign=2201affiliateevgn" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Peacock Premium</a>. There is also an option to watch fewer ads for an extra $5 per month.</p>



<p>Back in June, it was <a href="https:\/\/variety.com/2022/digital/news/comcast-ending-peacock-premium-free-xfinity-1235293778/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced</a> that Xfinity customers would lose their free access to Peacock Premium as well. The streaming service and Xfinity are both owned by Comcast. NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell claimed that offering the streaming service for free helped boost subscribers in the early stages of Peacock. However, the partnership is now over.</p>



<h2>Premier League fans need Peacock Premium</h2>



<p>COX customers will need to buy <a href="https:\/\/worldsoccertalk.com/channels/peacock-soccer-schedule/">Peacock Premium</a> in order to watch many Premier League games. For instance, <a href="https:\/\/worldsoccertalk.com/premier-league-tv-schedule/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">matchday 21</a> will feature half of the league’s 10 scheduled matches exclusively on Peacock Premium. These fixtures include Liverpool versus Chelsea on Saturday morning. Along with this massive match, there are four other games on January 21st and 22nd set to stream on Peacock Premium.</p>



<p>Bournemouth-Nottingham Forest, Southampton-Aston Villa, West Ham-Everton, and Leeds-Brentford will all solely be available on the streaming service.</p>

<h2>Peacock Premium typically streams 4-6 games per week</h2>



<p>This setup of five Premier League matches each week exclusively on Peacock Premium is fairly routine. Although not exactly set in stone, the streaming service does typically carry a handful of matches each weekend. Teams streamed on Peacock Premium also varies as well. </p>



<p>The Premier League extended their deal with <a href="https:\/\/worldsoccertalk.com/news/nbc-wins-premier-league-rights-through-2027-28-20211118-CMS-356238.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBC Sports</a> last year. This keeps English top flight matches on the NBC family of networks through the 2027/28 season. Peacock Premium is obviously part of this deal and will continue to have games on the service throughout the duration of this contract.<br><em><br>Photo: Imago</em></p>
