Blackburn Signs Paul Robinson For £3.5 Million

Three of my most vivid memories of Paul Robinson are (1) the back pass from Gary Neville that bounced past Robinson into the net against Croatia, (2) the long range free kick when Robinson scored for Spurs against Watford, and (3) the time when I saw Robinson play in goal for Spurs against Blackburn in […]

ESPN Coverage Hits New Low With West Ham vs MLS All-Stars

ESPN's broadcast of Euro 2008 was the best production ever of a soccer tournament for TV viewers in the United States. While it wasn't perfect, it was clearly evident that ESPN had listened to the past criticism and corrected the annoying habits that had previously distanced diehard soccer fans from its network. West Ham United v MLS All-Stars On ESPN Tonight

Tonight West Ham United plays the Major League Soccer All-Star Team in Toronto, Canada. The match will be shown live on ESPN and ESPN360.com beginning at 7pm ET. Top 5 Best Football Shirts Of 08/09 Premier League Season

It's a pretty sad reflection on the state of football shirt design when it's much easier to pick the five worst ones than is to find the best kits for the 2008/2009 Premier League season. Many of the new shirt designs are boring and predictable, borrowing the designs from already created templates. Adidas and Umbro […]
