Post-World Cup Exposes Weaknesses of US Soccer Commentators

The one thing that the preseason friendlies have revealed to me thus far is the enormous drop off in talent between the commentary teams that we were spoilt with during the World Cup to the B-level of talent we witnessed during the Man United vs Celtic (Glenn Davis and Kyle Martino) and San Jose Earthquakes […]

Is This the Worst Soccer Interview Ever?

New York TV station, Fox 5, recently conducted a one-on-one interview with Thierry Henry, and it has to be one of the worst soccer interviews you'll probably ever see. Hosts Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly begin the train wreck by telling Henry that he had just won the World Cup. And the interview seems to […]

Best and Worst Premier League Shirt Designs of 2010-11 Season

When judging the best and worst designs of shirts for Premier League clubs each summer, we generally wait until we see the ones from Wigan since they're usually some of the worst. But while Wigan has changed their shirt manufacturers again, we've run out of patience with the Latics and bring you my verdict on […]

Soccer Fans, What Are Your Favorite Kick-Off Times?

My first professional game I ever attended was a mid-week night game on a cold night in Wales. The floodlights could be seen from miles away and they seemed to light up the pitch and turn the color of the grass into a different shade of green. Throughout the years, I've seen plenty of professional […]

Blackpool Home Shirt 10/11 Season: Photo

There's a lot to love about Blackpool Football Club. The team that very few people thought would get promoted to the Premier League overcame all odds thanks to the management of Ian Holloway. And they got promoted by playing a good brand of football. They were one of the few teams in the Championship to […]

How Fabio Capello Rated His England Team According to Capello Index

It's a bizarre story. First, in May, before the World Cup kicked off, Fabio Capello along with a man named Chicco Merighi launched the Capello Index, an objective system that measures and evaluates the performances of players. But after the news broke of the ratings system, many people thought it would be in poor taste […]

Liverpool today unveiled their third kit for the 2010-11 season. Designed by Adidas, the kit is black with yellow trim. Aston Villa Home and Away Shirts for 2010-11 Season: Photos

Aston Villa today launched their new home and away jerseys for the 2010-11 season. The biggest talking point about the home jersey is that they have the same sponsor as Fulham, which means they also have the same annoying tag line displayed on the front of their shirts. Ugh! As for Villa's away jersey, it […]
