Remarkably, that's exactly what happened last month for the Chelsea against Liverpool […]

If Anyone Can Turn Sunderland Around, Martin O'Neill Is The Man For The Job

While Sunderland are deep in final negotiations with O'Neill, and the Northern Irishman having said that he will accept the job as manager of the Black Cats, the news should come as welcome relief not only for Sunderland supporters but also for fans of English football. Carling Cup Romanticism Continues With Crystal Palace Defeating Man United

After Wednesday night's triumph for Crystal Palace against Manchester United at Old Trafford, that was another reason why I'm falling in love again with the Carling Cup — a competition that has often been derided in the past. Steve Bruce has been sacked as manager of Sunderland Football Club. Bruce managed Sunderland from June, 2009. Carling Cup Turning Into a Fascinating Encounter With Familiar Storylines

It's so easy to dismiss the Carling Cup as a competition that features just B teams, but anyone who watched Tuesday night's games may have come away with a renewed sense of optimism. Yes, it's a cup competition that offers us a chance to watch players we don't see that often, but it's still a […]

Premier League Saturday: Nov. 26, 2010

I'm really looking forward to watching today's games. There's quite an assortment of intriguing fixtures kicking off with the early match between Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers. Tony Pulis's side is suffering. Looking at the form table for the last six games in the Premier League, only Wigan Athletic have a worse record than the […]
