Trinidad & Tobago 0:1 USA. Mission Accomplished (Barely) UPDATED

Paul Caliguri had the shot heard round the world on this pitch, but tonight, Rico Clark had the shot that saved the US. With their backs against the wall the US responded after a poor first half. In the second half tonight, the United States Men’s National Team showed the heart of a champion and […]

Bob Bradley Deserves Praise and Credit

Bob Bradley has far too many critics. Some people who believe the US is a big time program and should be led by the likes of Guus Hiddink, just do not get the realities of dysfunctional US Soccer Federation who blew the hiring of Jurgen Klinsmann for the simple fact that they are control freaks […]

Dempsey's Foul: The Right Call

I have now reviewed video of the foul called on Clint Dempsey that nullified a nice goal by Jozy Altidore the other day over a dozen times. While the official could have certainly just waved on the play (which I may have done, but I am not an official and do have a rooting interest […]

USA 2:1 El Salvador: American Grit

The US survived a scare in Sandy, Utah tonight. Credit to Bob Bradley for making the key tactical changes to give the US a victory over a pesky El Salvador side. The rest of CONCACAF has clearly closed the gap on the US. In fact, it can be argued that the gap has disappeared entirely. […]

Whither DC United???

It is not debatable that MLS’ signature team has taken hits to its aura in the last two years. An ongoing stadium crisis which sees DC United caught in a political football and in the crossfire of a local newspaper whose hypocrisy seems to be never ending. Add to that the Red and Black’s poor […]

The Battle for CONCACAF: Work Left For The US To Do

With two relatively straight forward fixtures this week, the United States National Team is almost guaranteed to be leading the Hexagonal after this international break.
