This week’s game of the week was the Saturday evening kick off at Bramall Lane, which was screened live on BSKYB. Those fortunate enough to catch the game either from the stands or via their television were treated to a five goal thriller featuring two sending offs, three penalties and a bucket load of late drama.
Reading and Norwich traded blows to draw 3 – 3, whilst Burnley overcame Watford in a thrilling in a game where the lead changed hands 3 times. However the game this week that left pulses racing featured a club that is no stranger to the ups and downs of football in recent times, Portsmouth FC.
They lost 3-2 to Doncaster Rovers in a thrilling encounter!
Manchester City supporters took the mickey out on Manchester United fans at Eastlands this past Saturday (see above picture), but it was the United supporters who were having the last laugh after Paul Scholes’s injury time winner.
