When it comes to soccer coverage, the one word that’s synonymous with ESPN Deportes is authenticity. While the network doesn’t have as many soccer rights as some of its rivals, what it does have is expert analysis and commentary with an authentic feel. ESPN Deportes to broadcast 500 hours of World Cup coverage

ESPN Deportes, the 24-hour Spanish-language sports network, will prominently feature World Cup coverage on SportsCenter, Fútbol Picante, Jorge Ramos y su Banda, Raza Deportiva, Los Capitanes, Cronómetro, and more, providing expansive news and analysis throughout the competition. Real Madrid-Liverpool Champions League Final climbs to over 3 million viewers

In the last UEFA Champions League Final broadcast by both FOX Sports and ESPN, the 2017/18 final between Real Madrid and Liverpool averaged 3.0 million viewers in the United States. While the broadcast on the over-the-air FOX network averaged 2,004,000 million viewers, the Real Madrid-Liverpool game in Spanish-language on ESPN Deportes averaged 1,020,000 million for a combined total of 3,024,000 viewers overall. In the week building up to the final, ESPN Deportes had their entire team of commentators and staff in Ukraine. Man City-Arsenal League Cup final delivers strong numbers for ESPN and ESPN Deportes

The 2018 League Cup final between Manchester City and Arsenal averaged 789,000 viewers across ESPN and ESPN Deportes, up 50 percent compared to the 526,000 viewers who watched the 2017 cup final on beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS En Espanol. In the 3-0 Manchester City FC victory over Arsenal FC at the historic Wembley Stadium on February 25, the match announcers for the ESPN broadcast were Mark Donaldson and Craig Burley. ESPN Deportes to broadcast Emirates Cup featuring Arsenal, Benfica, Sevilla and RB Leipzig

ESPN Deportes will broadcast the ninth edition of the Emirates Cup to viewers in the United States. Hosted by Arsenal, this year’s tournament will feature three of the top teams from Europe including RB Leipzig (Germany), Benfica (Portugal) and Sevilla (Spain). The matches will be played across the weekend of July 29-30, live from Emirates Stadium in north London. Arsenal are the defending champions. Viewing numbers for ESPN Deportes’ opening weekend of Euro 2016 TV coverage

The viewing numbers for ESPN Deportes’ Spanish-language coverage of Euro 2016 are in for the opening weekend of the tournament. From the first seven games of Euro 2016, ESPN Deportes is averaging 126,143 Hispanic viewers for live and same day coverage. That compares to the 228,000 Hispanic average from ESPN Deportes’ coverage of Euro 2012, although that was after the first 24 games of the tournament. As Euro 2016 continues, ESPN Deportes’ numbers should increase as awareness grows and the competition becomes more heightened.
