Have a Break, Have a Podcast (EPL Talk Break Podcast)

International break time and the podcast are fine with it. Why cry over crocked players? Stoke certainly don’t…but Laurence poses the question: are we not giving international football enough credit?

We discuss strikers, strikees and touch on international football. Links to our best articles of the week are:

  1. BA14 says:

I can’t believe you spent that much time talking about Michael Owen.

  2. The Gaffer says:

And here’s a link to the Michael Owen video, which Kristan referenced in this episode (which I had not seen before, and it’s worth watching):

  3. Jimbo2308 says:

I’ll be honest, I had to skip past the part where Laurence almost had some kind of apoplexy in his bizarre (and incredibly biased) defence of Michael Owen. It was getting a bit “TalkSport” – I can only assume the luduicrous comments were designed to draw comment ratehr than inform. In which case, well done, as they certainly weren’t informative!

    • Laurence says:

      Hey Jimbo2308,

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Anyone will tell you, I’m not gonna be biased towards Owen: I had to take his poster off my wall as a kid – Madrid bound Owen broke my heart. I have to take the opposite perspective sometimes because we all agree. Owen is a modern footballer…sometimes it’s not as easy as play or not.

It’s strange with the Owen section, we’ve had plenty of feedback that people enjoyed it because the debate drove into some of the problems that people have with footballers now.

I hope you enjoyed the rest of the podcast.
