Remember, this is a fairly small stadium at a capacity of 18,000. Normally, Barcelona plays in a stadium five-times larger. The anticipation plays a role in fans snatching up tickets to break that attendance record.

To be fair, however, Inter Miami only started up as a club in early 2018, playing its first MLS game in 2020.

In that short lifespan, the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt on international friendlies in the soccer world. Therefore, Inter Miami only played one international friendly in its young history. That came on January 6 against Peruvian side Club Universitario de Deportes.

Now, it welcomes a resurgent Barcelona side after a string of struggling seasons.

DRV PNK Stadium could see a number of talents, new and old, to wear the Blaugrana kit. The jury remains out on whether Frenkie de Jong joins the squad. Currently, he is not with the side during its preseason regiment.

However, there are still a number of great options coming out to represent Barcelona in the United States. For reference, Barcelona opened its preseason games this past week against UE Olot, a club in the third tier of the Spanish pyramid.

That squad featured some of the new arrivals at Camp Nou. Franck Kessie made his debut against Olot, and Andreas Christensen is likely to appear during Barcelona’s US tour, as is Raphinha, the newest addition to the Catalans.

However, looking back against Olot, here are some instances of the major names to appear during that game. Ansu Fati, Pedri, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen played for half of the game. Plus, American Sergiño Dest played as he comes back from injury. Expect all of these players to make the trip stateside.

Finally, Ousmane Dembele reupped his contract with Barcelona. In doing so, he looks set to be part of the squad to play Inter Miami at DRV PNK Stadium.
