Newcastle United have released a photo of what their third shirt for the 2011-12 season will look like.

Surprisingly, the design is one of the most appealing third shirts I’ve seen from Newcastle United in quite some time. The black shirt with thin white diagonal stripes across the shoulder and upper chest makes for a simple but bold design that would look good on the football pitch as well as for casual wear.

Designed and manufactured by Puma, it appears that the Puma logo on the chest and arm is colored in gold.

  1. Not sure how they can use this. Feel it’s a bit too similar to the homekit, so if they can’t use that or the away kit, how can they use this?

  2. What a waste. 1st strip is so black no need for this. Getting worse, lost nearly all our stripes on 1st kit and now some dodgy pathetic diagonal line just lumped on this, Why? Not buying for another season. Bring back our stripes on teh 1st kit, both front and back and get rid of this…..

  3. I really like the 3 rd strip but i dont get that the 3rd strip is black when our home strip is virtually the same colour i would like a different colour.

  4. Like other people that have already commented, I think it is too similar to their new home kit. I could understand if they stuck with the more traditional stripes they incorporated in their kits but, they went away from that look this year.

  5. A love it me a think we should wair it every away game if we cant wear our away kit e.g away to Swansea and Bolton and Obviously wair are black and whites at home
