England vs Scotland and Bosnia-Herzegovina vs USA: International Friendlies: Open Thread

Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott are set to start for England today in the nation’s “friendly” against Scotland that’s being played at Wembley Stadium in London. For viewers in the United States, the broadcast of the match begins at 2:55pm ET on FOX Soccer.

Approximately 20,000 Scottish fans have traveled south to London to cheer on their country in what promises to be a festive atmosphere. As you can see from the photo above, the Scottish contingent have already made Trafalgar Square into a party atmosphere.

On the same continent, the US men’s national team plays a friendly today against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo in the first-ever meeting between both sides. The match will give the US team much-needed preparation before their next World Cup qualifying match.

The match will be broadcast live on ESPN2, WatchESPN and UniMas at 2:25pm ET.

  1. If Jozy Altidore can bring this kind of quality to the Premiere League, it should be exciting times for Sunderland. First American to ever score 5 consecutive matches. Congrats!

  2. Welbeck scored a goal?!?! It can’t be. The guy couldn’t score in a 5 -a-side game between 6 year olds!

Talk about a sure sign of the Apocalypse!

    We are all doomed :-)
