Chelsea have added another match to their 2013 US summer tour. Jose Mourinho’s side will face AS Roma on August 10 at RFK Stadium near Washington DC as their final match of the pre-season before they face Hull City on Sunday, August 18. Kick-off time for Chelsea-Roma is scheduled for 6pm ET.

Tickets will go on sale to US Chelsea supporters’ clubs on Thursday, July 18. The public will be able to buy tickets beginning Saturday, July 20 via Ticketmaster. Prices start at $38.

Chelsea FC Chief Executive Ron Gourlay said: “We are delighted to be able to play a fourth game in America following on from the International Champions Cup. Roma will provide us with excellent competition as we complete our preparations for what promises to be an exciting season for Chelsea Football Club.”

Roma features American international Michael Bradley as well as Italian legend Francesco Totti. The Serie A club is also scheduled to play in the MLS All-Star Game and a friendly against Toronto prior to their match in DC versus the Blues.

The two sides have met in the USA before, during Jose Mourinho’s first summer as Chelsea manager in 2004, with the Blues running out 3-0 winners in Pittsburgh. Chelsea last played Roma, who finished sixth in Serie A last season, during the 2008/09 Champions League group stage, and also eliminated the Italian side from the 1965/66 Fairs Cup.
